AS I LAY DYING Frontman Talks 'The Powerless Rise', New Rules Of Music Business

Tim talks about the production of the band's new album, "The Powerless Rise"; his home studio; the new rules of the music business, including his thoughts about creating his own record label; the diminished value of videos; illegal downloading; and AS I LAY DYING's Grammy nomination!
According to Hits Daily Double, the companion web site of music industry tip sheet HITS, "The Powerless Rise" is on track (based on one-day sales reports) to sell between 35,000 and 40,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release.
AS I LAY DYING' last album, "An Ocean Between Us", opened with 39,500 units back in August 2007 to land at position No. 8 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"The Powerless Rise" was released on May 11 via Metal Blade Records.

After AS I LAY DYING wraps its current headlining U.S tour with DEMON HUNTER, BLESSTHEFALL and WAR OF AGES, the group will head overseas for shows in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, France, Holland, Russia, Italy, Belgium, Sweden and the U.K. On July 12, AS I LAY DYING will launch the "Cool Tour" with UNDEROATH, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, BLESSTHEFALL, THE ACACIA STRAIN, ARCHITECTS, CANCER BATS, and WAR OF AGES. The nationwide trek will launch July 12 in Orlando and wrap in San Francisco on August 1.
